Why PALM Health?
The PALM Health Cafe is known to serve excellent food of high quality and nutritional value, including smoothies, baked goods, salads, daily specials, and well-balanced meals. At present, the PALM Health Cafe is open from 7am to 6pm, M-F. We are currently looking for a part-time cook to work primarily during the day/late-afternoon (2-7pm).

Prep/Line Cook

The Prep/Line Cook will help prep and make entrees and other dishes such as proteins, pastas, daily specials, etc. Duties include setting up workstations and ingredients, preparing food to order, and jumping in to assist a customer in need or to wash dishes when necessary. Qualified candidates must be able to work well and collaboratively in a busy environment, be quick and diligent, and willing to improve on the job. The Prep/Line Cook must be able to follow instructions and adhere to all health and safety rules in the kitchen.

Required Qualifications

• At least one year experience as prep cook (required)
• Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen (required)
• Manual dexterity: able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
